What would a Mad Max inspired TTRPG be without a Max Rockatabsky archetype? The Lone Survivor character option is that lone wolf who’s been chewed up and spit out more times than iguana gristle. Though, this character option does have a reason to be travelling with companions.
Dustfire is a fun rig which represents a speeding devil, acting quick but providing little protection.
Lone Wanderer
You are a wanderer whose name is rarely spoken, but whose deeds echo across the wastes.
Ability: Born Survivor
When you would die, roll 1d20. If the result is equal to or lower than your maximum Flesh Score, you survive and regain +1 Flesh Score.

How Did You End Up Alone?
- Items:
- Exiled Survivor: You were cast out of your home, forced to make a life in the wastes. Take a Medium-Sized Snare Trap and Worn Riding Leathers (+1 Armor, Bulky).
- Vengeful Spirit: You hunt those who wronged you. Take a Bone Saw and a Viciously Loyal Mongrel (Flesh 10, Spirit 12, Nasty Bite d4) it follows simple, one-word commands.
- Lost Protector: You failed to protect someone you cared for, and the guilt drives you. Take Loved One’s Locket and a Rusted Hunting Rifle (d6 Shoot, Bulky).
- Nomadic Seeker: You wander in search of meaning. Take a Skull Talisman Necklace and a Water Recycler Relic today’s water is also tomorrow’s water.
- Scarred Vigilante: You exact justice on those who prey on the weak. Take a Voice Modulator Relic (d4 Fear, d4 Rads) changes your voice into a terrifying growl.
- Drifter’s Past: You have no memory of who you were before the wastes. Take a Black Visored Helmet (+1 Armor) and a Zippo Lighter Relic still works.
Why Join The Gang?
- Crimson Hunt: After killing one of the leader’s sons, the Crimson Horde hunts you across the Wastes. Pick a player character who helped kill the leader’s son and is wanted too.
- Finding Eden: On their deathbed, a trusted companion told you of a place without chaos. Pick a player character who has also heard of this place and seeks it with you.
- Pure Vengeance: You seek to kill Warlord Chik von Flint for killing a friend. Pick a player character who also lost a friend to Chik von Flint and wants vengeance too.
- Honor Debt: You owe a life debt to a gang member who saved you. Pick a player character who you are indebted to and strive to repay through your actions.
- Fate’s Crossing: You stumbled upon the gang when you saved them. Pick a player character who you saved that day.
- Living Legend: The gang believes you are the hero of an old wasteland tale. Pick a player character who idolizes you.
